The Here & Now blog has a new home. We now reside on the Selah Center website. Selah Center is a contemplative community that listens to God, one another, and ourselves. In so doing, listening becomes a way to live in who we are and what we do, making us more alive. As a welcoming community, we express love and proper regard for those around us, recognizing that God is the true Source of our being, belonging, and becoming.
Through our pauses, encounters, and growth, we engage in contemplative practices as grace-filled endeavors, resting in the Triune presence of God as the one who fills each moment with us, inspires vision, births newness and hope, and reconciles all creation.
With intentions of generous listening to hear the whole person and a spacious community that includes mutuality, we share this journey with others in our uniqueness and cultivate wonder. All the while, we respond to God’s transformative love in kind and meaningful action for the sake of others. We encourage openness toward, a sanctuary for, and hospitality to all persons.
Kairos: Join Our Unique Contemplative Experience at Selah Center

Kairos, an online community, gathers on Fridays for unique contemplative experience with a spiritual practice and breakout group that shares the time through silence, art, music, and teaching. Kairos opens up space to encounter the Spirit, one another, and oneself through God’s inviting presence. Kairos is held most Friday mornings—drop in when you can. Selah Center: Ignite Creativity and Diversity in Our Creative Community
Attention all creatives, writers, and artists! Regardless of whether you’re part of the Selah community, we warmly invite you to join us! Let’s ignite our creativity together through writing on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday evenings from 6-7 p.m. This Zoom gathering is a safe space for inspiration, writing time, and connecting with fellow writers. You are invited to share your work and receive feedback, but there’s no pressure. We value diversity and welcome all voices to contribute to our creative community. Jumpstart your creativity, whether it’s through journaling, blogging, starting a new project, or seeking fresh ideas for a work-in-progress. Meets on the first and third Tuesdays on Zoom.
